Guy Pearce is selling his Melbourne home

Australian actor Guy Pearce has put his long-held Melbourne house up for sale.

He has owned the four-bedroom Edwardian style home in Middle Park for almost 29 years.

However it has now hit the market, with the 55-year-old actor primarily based in Amsterdam with his partner fellow actor and Games of Thrones star Carice Van Houten and their son Monte.

The home, in the prime suburb of Middle Park, has a price guide of $8.5 million to $9.35 million.

The property covers two titles and was previously two residences that are now united into one home with a central glass breezeway.

The home is a stylish mix of old and new with period details including leadlight windows, oaring ceilings and a handsome traditional brick exterior.

The asking price for the stunning house sits above the Melbourne suburbs median price.

The median house price in Middle Park currently sits at $2.7 million and the median rental price is at $900 per week according to CoreLogic.

The property is for sale through Expressions of Interest which closes on August 21.
