And around the country there are options at every budget in some of the top retreat destinations.

We've found some of the best bargain buys and most luxurious stays across Queensland, Victoria and NSW that are now on the market.

A place in the sun

Queensland is famous for its beaches, but properties in the hinterland Sunshine Coast offer a quieter location to live full-time or as a second home.

The NSW town of Kangaroo Valley has long been a favourite of wealthy Sydneysiders to escape too, offering privacy amongst its rolling green hills.

The off-grid property is surrounded by rainforest and sits in the Upper Kangaroo River area.

Victoria
