Guerilla Bay

Don’t blink or you’ll miss the blue sign and the turn off to the idyllic beachside pocket of Guerilla Bay

Guerilla Bay is one of the many small coastal communities in the Eurobodalla Shire, on the south coast of New South Wales and sits around halfway between Batemans Bay and Moruya. Guerilla Bay is one of several idyllic hideaways that are accessed off George Bass Drive which follows the coastline through areas such as Malua Bay, Rosedale, Tomakin and Mossy Point. A short road tracks through Guerilla Bay’s small community of nature loving residents and when it curves down to reach the beach you can see why this spot would appeal to many seeking sanctuary. The waters here are more often than not clear and inviting and provide different experiences for ocean lovers. A prominent small rocky island is a feature of the bay and divides the safer, more comfortable snorkelling waters to the south of the gravel spit and the more adventurous and dangerous waters to the north of the spit. For schooling you could head south to Broulee (9kms), east to Mogo (10kms) or north to Sunshine Bay (13kms) but check the local catchment requirements first. The upgraded Kings Highway will take you to Canberra in around 2.5 hours or you can traipse up to Sydney via the 298km stretch of the Princess Highway.
