Hamilton Valley

Hamilton Valley is a hidden pocket of rural paradise situated behind Albury, NSW

If you’re not specifically going there you’ll be unlikely to pass through the majority of Hamilton Valley as a large part of it is tucked away in the hills behind Albury and Lavington. In saying that though, there are some parts of Hamilton Valley that do sit in a more suburban environment and are often mistaken for areas of Lavington. Like most areas that surround Albury, access to major services and facilities (airport, train, Hume Freeway, supermarkets and major retailers) are easy and within minutes you can reach the CBD or even Wodonga (VIC). The closest primary schools are Lavington Public and Holy Spirit (with others in the broader vicinity) and there are a range of high schools such as James Fallon, Albury and Murray along with the private’s Xavier, The Scots and Trinity. Hamilton Valley is home to the Lavington Sports Ground which hosts the Panthers Football and Netball Clubs. The suburb also hosts the Albury Waste Management Centre which has an excellent recycled goods outlet.
