Rosedale
Rosedale is a beachside settlement south of Bateman’s Bay on the south coast of NSW, in the Eurobodalla Shire
This is a true hamlet style beach village with no stores and services as such and a small population of around 200. Shopping is available nearby at Malua Bay to the north or Tomakin to the south, or the larger regional towns of Bateman’s or Moruya.
Rosedale has a lovely (non-patrolled) beach which is often separated into two areas when the water is high enough for Saltwater Creek to flow into the ocean. You’ll hear Rosedale North and Rosedale South which is reference to which side of this creek you are located on. Care is cautioned when swimming in the area as the waters are prone to dangerous rips.
The local landmark is Jimmies Island which is a 30 m high small rugged island extending 600 m off the southern Rosedale headland.
Rosedale provides easy access to other regional centres via George Bass Drive. If you can’t find what you are looking for in Rosedale check out other nearby settlements - the quiet Guerilla Bay or busier Malu Bay.
