Halls Creek is a town located in the east Kimberley region of Western Australia, situated between Fitzroy Crossing and Turkey Creek on the Great Northern Highway. It serves as the only sizable town for 600 km along the Highway. Halls Creek is the northern end of the Canning Stock Route, a 1,850 km route through the Great Sandy Desert that ends at Wiluna in the south. The town acts as a significant hub for the local Indigenous population and provides support for nearby cattle stations.
Halls Creek's population is predominantly young, with a significant proportion under the age of 20.
