Lake Grace Council

The Shire of Lake Grace is located in the eastern Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, approximately 350 kilometres ESE of Perth. It covers a land area of 10,379 square kilometres and its administrative center is the town of Lake Grace. The area was originally established as the Lake Grace Road District in 1922 and was later reformed into a Shire in 1961. As of 2023, there are 231 heritage-listed places in the Shire of Lake Grace, with five of them being on the State Register of Heritage Places. The population in Lake Grace is predominantly aged above 50, with a notable proportion in the 0 to 19 age group. The majority of households own their dwellings outright or through purchase, with a high affordability rate for mortgage repayments.
