The Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale is a local government area located in the outer southeastern metropolitan area of Perth, Western Australia. It covers an area of 905 square kilometres and had a population of 32,173 as of the 2021 Census. Despite its name, the largest settlement in the Shire is Byford, not Serpentine or Jarrahdale. The Shire was established on 8 August 1913 through the amalgamation of the Serpentine and Jarrahdale Road Districts. It became a Shire on 1 July 1961 following the passage of the Local Government Act 1960.
