The Shire of Westonia is a local government area in the eastern Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, approximately 310 kilometres east of Perth. Its seat of government is the small town of Westonia. Westonia is located at the eastern limit of land suitable for wheat growing, with wheat and sheep being the most important industries. Historically, Westonia was a gold mining area. The Westonia Road District was established on 30 June 1916.
