Victoria

Located on the most southern eastern tip of the mainland of Australia, Victoria is the second smallest state but has the second largest population. The Greater Melbourne region is the heart and soul of the state and is home to the majority of the states population but but the state also includes many coastal and regional regional hubs including Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo.

Victoria is home to numerous Indigenous Groups including the Wurundjeri and swelled in population to the Gold Rush. Named after Queen Victoria, the state has consistently grown due to international and domestic migration. Victoria is a fantastic place to live, offering city life with beach access and easy access to the surfing beaches along the Great Ocean Road and Mornington Peninsula as well as easy access to the snow fields of Mount Buller, Mount Hotham and Falls Creek. Victoria was named for Queen Victoria.
