Adelaide Lead
Adelaide Lead is a small rural town located south-west of Maryborough.
The township has a strong pastoral history and was used primarily for grazing sheep and cattle. It is part of the Shire of Central Goldfields and gold was discovered in the region in the mid 1800s, leading to an increased population.
The current population is under 100 residents and the town is about 38 square kilometres in size.
