A large beachfront site in Wollongong's northern suburbs - which has been in church ownership for an estimated 70 years - is due to be listed for sale next week.
The site, located at 35-37 Stanwell Avenue, Stanwell Park has long been home to Doran House.
Cotality records indicate the recognisable property is owned by The Trustees Of The Christian Brothers.

It's believed they have owned the approximately 2767 square metre property, the equivalent size of more than two Olympic pools, for about 70 years.
Built in 1915, the property has been utilised as a retreat for members of the church, and according to selling agent, Mattias Samuelsson from Ray White Helensburgh is being sold as it was surplus to needs and hadn't been utilised much recently.
Mr Samuelsson said in "20 years of selling some of the best properties on this coastline, I've never seen anything like this".
He said the land value was $8 million, which was likely a fair price guide for the property.

Mr Samuelsson said the property was expected to attract strong interest from a wide range of buyers.
This included those "looking for a once-in-a-lifetime beachfront opportunity", as well as developers, and buyers who may utilise it as a weddings and events venue due to the large yard space and sizeable home.
"There are paths directly from your backyard to the beach," he said.
Mr Samuelsson said the home on the site, which has a boarding house-style layout was "still original", and while a solid home, was in need of updating.
"This is a prime opportunity. It's been 70 years since an opportunity like this has come about, and it might be another 70 years before you see it again.
"I'm not aware of any other properties on the coastline that offer what this property offers."
The site is zoned C4 Environmental Living, which also allows, with consent, uses such as bed and breakfast accommodation and secondary dwellings.
Other church sites throughout the region have been sold recently.
A long-standing church facility situated in Corrimal's town centre found a new owner.
The property, located at 120 Railway Street was sold by the Wollongong Christadelphians.
The site was reportedly purpose built in the 1960's and has operated as a place of worship since.
The site had a price guide of $1 million plus GST.
Selling agent, Taleah Thomas from Colliers Wollongong said she couldn't disclose the sale price, but said it sold "within the vicinity of the guide".
Also, a potential residential development site which has been the long-time home of the Slovenian Catholic Church at Figtree changed hands.
Cotality records show the property, located at 136-140 Princes Highway was sold by the Slovenian Australian Club.
The property was sold under the hammer for $3.25 million.
Selling agent, Ms Thomas said the buyer wished to remain anonymous, and there were no plans for the site yet.
