"Commanding an elevated position on the high side of North Kiama Drive, this solid full-brick residence captures stunning views across the golden sands and rolling surf of Jones Beach," the property's marketing states.

"Car enthusiasts, tradies and adventurers alike will appreciate the huge garaging with workshop space, complemented by an additional carport perfect for a boat, trailer or caravan."

Selling agent, Scott Douglas from Raine and Horne Kiama said there were three registered bidders for the auction; they were from Canberra, Kiama Downs and Shellharbour Village respectively.

The successful buyer was a downsizer from Kiama Downs.

Mr Douglas said proceedings kicked off at $1.6 million, with "cautious bidding" taking place.

"They liked the aspect, and being able to walk to the beach," he said of the successful buyers.

Meanwhile, one registered bidder was enough to secure a sale elsewhere in the region.

The two-bedroom home at 76a Renfrew Road, Werri Beach was sold under the hammer for $1.675 million.

"Located just minutes from the sand, this Torrens Title duplex perfectly balances minimalist design with beachside comfort," the property's marketing states.

"The home is designed for an easy transition from the beach to living.

"At its centre is a bright, open-plan kitchen featuring vaulted ceilings, and a five-burner gas cooktop."

Selling agent, Bernadette Farrell from Ray White Gerringong said there was one registered bidder, who placed two bids.

"They loved the location, being so close to the beach," she said.

"It's going to be a holiday home for them. It's a turn-key property, low maintenance, and with water glimpses."
