A wine cellar is one of the premium upgrades on offer in homes built in the $1 billion Lovedale Farm golf estate.

Prospective buyers and visitors will be able to explore the development's purpose-built display home on March 21 at an open day event held on-site at the former dairy farm opposite The Vintage on Wine Country Drive.

The event will be held from 10.30am to 1.30pm.

The grand opening will showcase developer Capital Corporation's vision for the new residential and lifestyle community with a day of food, wine and entertainment.

Capital Corporation director Jim Hunter said 500 people have registered for the event.

The display home has premium finishes throughout, including a wine cellar, a main bedroom with an ensuite and walk-through wardrobe, and a farmhouse-style kitchen with a butler's pantry.

Other features include dedicated golf buggy parking, an outdoor kitchen, and a gas fireplace.

"This is the first Lovedale Farm product on the site, so it's that first taste of what we are delivering," Mr Hunter said.

"The sales centre has only been open for just over two weeks and we have already had just under $7 million in sales."

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home is one of a collection of houses custom-designed for the project.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the estate's future first and 18th golf holes, with clubs and golf balls provided.

Golf buggy tours will be available to view selected Stage 1 home sites and the future golf holes.

The event will also include a Brazilian barbecue, cheese from Lovedale's Binnorie Dairy, sweets from Bite Me Please, and coffee from The Grove Hunter Valley, alongside tastings with Mercer Wines.

Other attractions include a petting zoo, live music and a hot air balloon on display.

Additional catering will be provided by Lovedale-based chef Matt Dillow of The Deck, showcasing the region's produce.

The opening of the display home marks the latest milestone in the next stage of delivery at Lovedale Farm.

The first 200 homes and a championship golf course are anticipated for completion in 2027.

Seventy-five per cent of homes in Stage 1 are sold, equating to almost $70 million in sales.

Pricing at Lovedale Farm starts from $1.14 million for a four-bedroom house with a rumpus room and a double garage on a 504-square-metre lot.

"One of the product types that we have found that has been attractive to purchasers is our village product, which is the block sizes ranging from 550 square metres up to 800 square metres," Mr Hunter said.

"That is what we will be releasing in the next stage and it is in collaboration with Eden Brae Homes."

The second release will be available in April and the project aims to turn soil on-site in late 2026.

The master-planned community of 500 homes, 140 apartments and a 300-room resort is centred on an 18-hole championship golf course opposite The Vintage on Wine Country Drive.

Blocks in the 600-acre development vary in size from 500-square-metre village lots and 3000-square-metre lifestyle lots.

Facilities include a private residents' pool, tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, a green village oval and an off-leash dog park.

More than 50 per cent of Lovedale Farm will be dedicated to the golf course, bushland, parks and water features.

The site will retain many of its established trees, and extensive planting of 2000 trees has already been undertaken.

The project is set to generate about 1250 jobs in the local area, injecting an estimated $300 million into the Hunter during construction.
