A high-end renovation of a classic 1930s art deco home is set to hit the market this week in Hamilton South.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 74 Stewart Avenue is listed with Tom Lemke and Zara Gusmerini of Wilton Lemke Stewart.

The owner, social media influencer Tahlia Skaines, documented the renovation project online, transforming the three-bedroom period home into a luxury four-bedroom residence that blends "European sophistication with Australian heritage".

Mr Lemke said the attention to detail sets the home's renovation apart.

"It was a quaint home when they bought it and they have gone through and redone everything from top to bottom," Mr Lemke said.

"It is very high-end; the kitchen and the finishes are incredible.

"Where everything matters, she chased perfection and it's a no expense spared renovation.

"It will suit a buyer who wants that curated home, and there is a lot of demand for that in that area."

Cotality records show the owners bought the 405-square-metre property in November 2023 for $1.32 million.

"It had a really beautiful feel about it," Ms Skaines said.

"It is a 1930s heritage home and it had a lot of character and potential for a renovation, so we wanted to keep the beautiful ornate ceilings and heritage features, and give them a new lease on life, but put a little twist on it.

"We have a lot of beautiful curves and natural stone elements which is where the European flair comes into it."

The renovation of the double brick house, Luca Residence, began in June last year with Newcastle-based building company, AMTD Projects.

The transformation included the addition of new herringbone oak flooring, sheer curtains and a stone fireplace.

Modern updates pair with original period details such as ornate ceilings and leadlight windows.

Changes to the floor plan included converting the living room into a main bedroom suite and creating a light-filled luxury ensuite in the old sunroom.

A new open-plan extension at the rear with three-metre high ceilings comprises the living, dining and kitchen.

"The kitchen is definitely the hero of the house," she said.

"It has a beautiful Taj Mahal quartzite island and we have used high quality cabinetry and included a lot of storage."
